- When taking measurement, the abdomen should be relaxed and you should be breathing out.

If your waist circumference is above the cut-off point indicated, your health can be at risk. Ask your healthcare provider to check your cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure levels as part of a full cardiovascular and diabetes assessment.
